Health Department
The Health Department continues to have a major impact on the lives of clients. Clients who require intensive health education
and support receive individual or small group sessions with a nurse and/or appropriate staff members on a monthly basis.
Health education presentations also occur in the Day Program, staff orientation, a monthly newsletter, and in the literature on Health & Safety bulletin boards located in every building.

In a typical month, one nurse has 68 contacts with 29 different clients. |
The Health Office provides the following services:
- One-on-one service with clients
- Coordination of health tips and education for clients and staff
- Health workshops provided for clients and staff
- CPR/1st Aid recertification training for staff
